On November 21st, 2024, over 100 participants gathered for a powerful discussion at the Youth Mental Health Forum, hosted by the Centre for Best Practices as part of the Three Challenges Initiative. Bringing together voices from government, academia, research, community organizations, and youth representatives, the forum was designed to do more than talk—it aimed to find real solutions and drive action.
A Collaborative Approach to Solutions
The forum featured dynamic breakout groups, where attendees engaged in focused working sessions to brainstorm ideas, identify barriers, and propose innovative approaches to improving youth mental health services. These discussions were rooted in lived experiences, evidence-based practices, and cross-sector collaboration, ensuring a well-rounded perspective.
A Call to Action for Change
One of the forum’s key objectives was to develop a Call to Action Paper, which will outline policy recommendations, service improvements, and concrete next steps to support youth mental health in our communities. By synthesizing the insights and solutions from the breakout groups, this document will serve as a guiding framework for change.
What's Next?
With momentum from the forum, the next phase is to refine the Call to Action Paper and push for its adoption among decision-makers. The success of this initiative relies on ongoing collaboration, advocacy, and commitment from all sectors involved.
Stay connected with the Three Challenges Initiative as we continue to work toward a stronger, more responsive system for youth mental health. If you want to be part of the conversation, follow our updates and join the movement for change!
📢 Let’s turn ideas into impact.
